Community Picks: Toronto Blue Jays 0% vs Boston Red Sox 0%

The Boston Red Sox and their portly $95-million benchwarmer Pablo Sandoval find themselves in something of a standoff these days. While it's unclear how much time, if any, he'll see in a Red Sox uniform again, one ex-Sandoval confidant knows at least one way to help the Panda.  Get him a babysitter. If you've missed the recent drama: The Red Sox soured on Sandoval in spring training, when he, in turn, lost his starting job at third base. Sandoval got his first start this week and, in a moment that felt lifted from a comedy sketch, his belt broke while he was batting. Sandoval went on the disabled list Wednesday , a surprise since his left shoulder injury appeared out of nowhere. R.A. Dickey's knuckleballer certainly had good movement last weekend against the Boston Red Sox, although the results weren't as good as he wanted. Rick Porcello had much more success in facing the Toronto Blue Jays, although not so much versus Jose Bautista. Porcello got the best of Dickey in Saturday's 8-4 victory in Toronto. Marcus Stroman's heavy sinker and Josh Donaldson's big bat helped the Toronto Blue Jays beat a division rival for their first series victory of the season. Donaldson hit a three-run home run, Troy Tulowitzki added a solo shot and the Blue Jays beat the New York Yankees 4-2 on Thursday night. Stroman (2-0) allowed two runs and three hits in eight innings to win his seventh consecutive decision. Continue to Article
